FAQ

  • When Is sedation dentistry used?

Nitrous oxide sedation is often used for dental services like fillings, tooth extractions, root canals, deep cleanings, and pediatric procedures. It reduces anxiety, increases comfort, and helps patients remain relaxed and responsive throughout treatment.

  • What types of sedation dentistry do you offer?

Our team offers nitrous oxide, often known as “laughing gas.” This effective sedative is mixed with oxygen and inhaled through a mask that fits over your nose. It does not put you to sleep. You can still carry on a conversation with the dentist, but it does help you feel calmer and more comfortable. The effects wear off soon after we remove the mask, and you should be able to drive home after the procedure.

  • is sedation dentistry painful?

No, nitrous sedation is not painful. It is administered through a mask placed over the nose and takes effect quickly. This is painless and requires no local anesthesia.
